For most of us, “home” is where the holidays begin, where we hang lights, share meals, and gather with the people we love. But for far too many families in South Sarasota County, this season brings only uncertainty.

Picture a mother and her children sleeping in their car in a grocery store parking lot, too afraid to rest. Imagine a father working two jobs but still unable to afford rising rent. These are the families who come to Family Promise of South Sarasota County, and they come to us filled with courage, determination, and hope.

Through our Bridge Housing and Open Doors programs, we provide families not only with a roof over their heads but also with the tools and support to build stability. In 2024 alone, we helped 139 families, 484 individuals including 274 children, move from homelessness to hope.

This year, we proudly entered our 10th year of serving families in our community. Since opening our doors, Family Promise of South Sarasota County has helped more than 1,200 families and over 3,600 individuals regain stability, rebuild their lives, and find lasting housing. This incredible milestone is possible only because of your continued support.
